UP COUNSELING

About Our Session Together

In our time together, we’ll gently explore the distinct parts of you that may have formed as a result of living with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), often shaped by profound childhood trauma. These parts may carry unique memories, emotions—like fear, shame, anger, or sadness—or roles that have helped you survive challenging experiences.

My role as your therapist, specializing in DID, is to guide you in connecting with these parts with curiosity and compassion, creating a safe space where each part is heard without judgment. We’ll work together to understand their needs, protective roles, and the stories they hold, fostering communication within your inner system.

As we build trust with your parts, we aim to help them release the burdens they’ve carried, promoting collaboration and harmony within you. This gentle, meaningful work often leads to a profound sense of relief, clarity, and connection to your authentic self. At UP Counseling, you’ll be supported every step of the way on your journey toward integration and wholeness.
